Yatra seasons, mandi trade, factory output: Jammu data to model
Several of Jammu’s biggest activities follow patterns that can be forecast. Pilgrim numbers on the Katra route rise and fall with seasons and holidays, and hotels, transporters and caterers plan around them; dry-fruit and Basmati traders buy and store stock against expected demand; units in the Bari Brahmana and Gangyal industrial areas record production, rejects and dispatches. Each of these produces records that suit forecasting, segmentation and quality models.
