Timeline

From basics to blue team ready

An indicative path from day one to demo day.

  1. Foundations

Ethics, networking and Linux for security.

  2. Recon

Scanning and traffic analysis in your lab.

  3. Attack (legally)

Web app testing and ethical hacking in labs.

  4. Defend

    SOC, SIEM and alert triage.

  5. Respond

    Incident response and cloud security.

  6. Demo day

Present your capstone and start interview prep.

Indicative plan. Exact duration, schedule and batch dates are shared by your counsellor.

Capstone projects

Six projects. All in the lab.

Real builds for your GitHub and portfolio. Not quiz scores.

VAPT

VAPT report on a lab app

Assess a deliberately vulnerable lab app and write a professional VAPT report.

SOC

SOC alert triage in a SIEM

Ingest logs into Splunk, build detections and triage alerts like an analyst.

Forensics

Network forensics with Wireshark

Analyse a packet capture to reconstruct what happened in an incident.

Cloud

Harden a cloud setup

Audit and fix IAM, storage and network misconfigurations in a lab cloud account.

Awareness

Phishing-awareness simulation

Plan and run a phishing-awareness simulation in a lab environment, then report results.

IR

Incident response playbook

Write and test a playbook for a realistic simulated incident.

All offensive techniques are taught and practised only in authorised, isolated lab environments. Testing systems without permission is illegal.

Certification

Finish strong. Get certified.

SkillCircle Certificate of Completion

Complete the modules and capstones to earn a SkillCircle certificate for your CV and LinkedIn. The course also helps you prepare for popular industry certifications like CEH and CompTIA Security+.

Prep for CEHPrep for CompTIA Security+
The certificate is issued by SkillCircle. CEH (EC-Council) and CompTIA Security+ exams are not included and are booked and paid for separately with the provider.
