Top 9 Richest YouTubers in Kolkata (2026)
Kolkata’s biggest home-grown YouTube creators include a gaming Shorts star, two pioneers of Bengali comedy, a food-label crusader, a couple who document Calcutta’s cooking and a stand-up comic from Park Street. Here is who runs each channel, how they began, and what is on the public record.

Please read first: no credible news outlet has published a net-worth or earnings figure for anyone on this list, so we print none and rank by subscribers instead. That measures reach, not wealth. Subscriber counts are from each channel’s YouTube page, checked on 21 Oct 2026.
How we picked Kolkata’s top YouTubers
We counted creators who live in or work from the Kolkata metropolitan area, or who grew up in the city and are publicly identified with it, as shown by a news report or interview. A channel with “Kolkata” or “Bong” in its name was not enough on its own.
This list is about creators who built an audience on YouTube: gamers, comedians, food and recipe channels, and lifestyle creators. Official channels of singers, music labels and film stars are left out, even when the star lives in the city. We could verify nine creators, so this is a top 9 rather than a padded top 10. Earlier cities in this series: the richest YouTubers in Delhi NCR, the top YouTubers in Patiala and the richest YouTubers in Chandigarh. Next in the series: the richest YouTubers in Hyderabad.

Who we left out of this Kolkata list
Desi pola, a Bengali comedy channel with about 8.1 million subscribers, would rank second, but we found no news report or interview that says where its creator is based, so it is not ranked. Bitkel Bangali (Syed Shamsil) is a popular Bengali comic, but The Telegraph reports that he lives in Haldia, outside the Kolkata metro. Actor Ashish Vidyarthi’s large travel and food vlog channel often features Kolkata, but he is not from the city. Several recipe, vlog and dating-show channels with Bengali or Kolkata branding have only social-media or directory profiles as sources, so they are not ranked either. If you have a solid source for anyone we missed, we will review it.
What new creators can learn from these channels
Kolkata’s top creators show how far a clear niche and a local voice can travel. Wonder Munna and The Bong Guy built huge audiences in Bengali when few others were doing it; Bong Eats and Foodka turned the city’s food into channels watched across the world; and Sanjoy Das grew fastest once he matched his content to a new format, Shorts. Several of them now earn from their own brands, shows or memberships as well as from YouTube.
