Please read first: no credible news outlet has published a net-worth figure for anyone on this list, so we print none and rank by subscribers instead. That measures reach, not wealth. Where a newspaper has reported promotion fees, we say so and label it clearly; it is not the same as personal wealth. Subscriber counts are from each channel’s YouTube page, checked on 25 Oct 2026.

How we picked Meerut’s top YouTubers

We counted creators who were born in, live in or make their channel from Meerut, the western Uttar Pradesh city about 70 km from Delhi, as shown by a news report, an interview or the creator’s own public statement. A channel with “Meerut” in its name was not enough on its own, and neither was a fan wiki or an influencer directory.

This list is about channels that built an audience on YouTube: comedians, vloggers and cooks. Official channels of singers and music labels are left out. We found only 5 channels that meet this bar, so this is a top 5, not a padded top 10. Earlier cities in this series: the richest YouTubers in Delhi NCR, the richest YouTubers in Ranchi and the richest YouTubers in Jaipur. Next in the series: the richest YouTubers in Noida.

1. Anubhav Singh Bassi — the Meerut-born stand-up star

  • Niche: Stand-up comedy in Hindi, built on long personal stories
  • Meerut link: “born and brought up” in Meerut, per The Indian Express (2020), which described him as a Delhi-based comic. Business Standard (August 2023) reported that he was born on 9 January 1991 in Parikshitgarh, Meerut district. He now performs nationally, so this entry counts him as Meerut-born rather than Meerut-based
  • Main channel: Anubhav Singh Bassi, 5.28M subscribers, just 8 videos and about 485 million views (as of 25 Oct 2026, YouTube)
  • Reported net worth: no credible figure found, so none is printed.

How he started

According to Business Standard, Bassi studied law at Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow, graduating in 2015, prepared for the civil services exam and tried running a business before turning to stand-up comedy in 2017. His long, story-led sets about college, family and failed plans found a huge audience on YouTube, and he went on to tour India and act in the 2023 Hindi film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. His channel is unusual: it has only eight videos, but they have been watched about 485 million times.

  • Main channel: Shadab Jakati, 5.07M subscribers, about 5,020 videos and 7.39 billion views (as of 25 Oct 2026, YouTube)

How he started

Dainik Bhaskar English reported that Jakati once worked as a driver in Saudi Arabia before returning home and making videos. His YouTube channel dates from October 2017, but his big break came with a short video posted on 15 May 2025 about the price of a “₹10 biscuit”, which the paper said drew about 89 million views on Instagram and was recreated by rapper Badshah and cricketer Rinku Singh. Since then brands have paid him for promotions, and he has opened a jewellery showroom, according to the same report. With more than 5,000 uploads, his is by far the most active channel on this list.

Critical information

Jakati has faced several police cases, all reported by mainstream outlets. In November 2025, NDTV India reported that Inchauli police arrested him over a video featuring a young girl that drew complaints; he was released on bail because the offence was bailable, apologised, deleted the video and said the girl was his daughter. In February 2026, UNI reported that an FIR was registered on a woman’s complaint alleging confinement and sexual exploitation, which also named his wife and son; Jakati denied the allegations in a video and asked for a fair investigation. In March 2026, Navbharat Times reported that the Allahabad High Court declined to stay his arrest in that case and asked the police for a report. In April 2026 the paper reported a fourth FIR, over a road show held without permission at the opening of his jewellery showroom. These are allegations: as of the latest reports we found, no court had ruled on them.

3. Life with Sunita Vlogs — a homemaker’s family vlog

  • Niche: Family and daily-life vlogs in Hindi
  • Meerut link: Sunita Prajapati is described as “Meerut’s Sunita” by The Better India Hindi (March 2026), and the channel’s own description says “I am from Meerut”
  • Main channel: Life with Sunita Vlogs, 623K subscribers, about 910 videos and 765 million views (as of 25 Oct 2026, YouTube)

Photo: we could not find a freely licensed picture of this creator, so we have not used one. Their official channel is linked above.

How she started

The Better India Hindi reported that Sunita, a homemaker, started making YouTube videos in 2023 when her husband fell ill and the family needed a new source of income. Her channel, created in November 2023, shows everyday family life, home cooking and routines. In under three years it has passed 600,000 subscribers and about 765 million views, which makes it one of the fastest-growing channels on this list.

Who we left out of this Meerut list

Several popular creators are often listed as “Meerut YouTubers”, but the sources we found place them elsewhere. Round2Hell is from Moradabad, according to its Wikipedia entry. Mridul Tiwari (The MriDul) was described by The New Indian Express as a Noida boy who studied at a Meerut university, which is not enough to count him as a Meerut creator. Food writer Osama Jalali is based in Delhi, and comedian Harsh Gujral is from Kanpur. Channels such as Chauhan Vines, Monty Dhiman, Hello Kisaan and Avantika appear only in influencer directories, not in news reports, and we could not match Vine Crew’s Shubham Teotia to a channel with certainty. Meerut World has no named creator or source behind it. Music channels such as Meerut Star Creation are outside the scope of this list, and so are small Instagram and Facebook accounts. If you have a solid source for anyone we missed, we will review it.

What new creators can learn from these channels

Meerut’s top channels show two very different routes to a big audience. Anubhav Singh Bassi built his with a handful of long, polished stand-up sets, while Shadab Jakati posted thousands of short skits until one went viral. Sunita’s family vlog shows how quickly an honest, regular channel can grow, and Meerut Ka Desi Tadka and Bhavesh Meerut Vlogs show that recipes and your own city can be a niche in themselves. Most creators also earn from brand deals, live shows and other platforms, not only from YouTube ads.

Frequently asked questions

Who is the richest YouTuber in Meerut?

Nobody can say for sure, because no credible news outlet has published a net-worth figure for any YouTuber from Meerut. By subscribers, Meerut-born comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi leads with about 5.28 million as of 25 October 2026, just ahead of Shadab Jakati with about 5.07 million. The only money figure on record is Dainik Bhaskar’s report that companies pay Jakati “lakhs of rupees” for promotions, which is not a net worth.

Which Meerut YouTube channel has the most subscribers?

Among channels whose Meerut link we could confirm, Anubhav Singh Bassi’s has the most, with about 5.28 million subscribers as of 25 October 2026. Next come Shadab Jakati (5.07 million), Life with Sunita Vlogs (623,000), Meerut Ka Desi Tadka (270,000) and Bhavesh Meerut Vlogs (94,000).

Is Anubhav Singh Bassi from Meerut?

Yes. The Indian Express reported in 2020 that he was born and brought up in Meerut, and Business Standard reported in 2023 that he was born in Parikshitgarh in Meerut district. He has since lived and performed elsewhere, so we list him as Meerut-born.

Why does this list have only five names?

We only include creators whose link to Meerut is backed by a news report, an interview or the creator’s own statement, and we do not pad the list. Several channels often called “Meerut YouTubers” are actually from Moradabad, Noida or elsewhere, and many others appear only in influencer directories, so they are not counted here.

Is there a SkillCircle centre in Meerut?

Yes. SkillCircle’s Meerut centre is on the 3rd Floor, Shyam Arcade, Baghpat Road, near Signature Hotel, Malyana, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh 250002 (phone +91-9762662163). It runs classroom courses in digital marketing, data science, data analytics and AI.
